Etienne Lavigne, director of the Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO), confirmed that the next edition of the Dakar Rally will pass through Chile and Argentina but added another country to travel: Peru.
After being met with the President of Bolivia, Evo Morales, the country ruled Lavigne plateau for the next version of the test, but left open the possibility that 2013 will be reactivated conversations.
"By 2012 it is very difficult for the Rally passes through the Bolivian territory, but for 2013 there is a possibility that will be analyzed. Arrange the Dakar takes time and studies," said the director of evidence arguing that the limited availability of time prevent Dakar organize some dates in that country.
So far, the statements were ASO director of protocol, but then leaked something that has not been confirmed: "We have to consider. We can not say anything, in the next edition will pass through Argentina, Chile and Peru for 2012. "
Thus, Chile and Argentina have for the fourth time the classic mini, but still needs to confirm the path ASO test, since the governments of the three countries are seeking to have the start or goal.
